Pakistan International (PIA), Boeing 777-240ER, AP-BHX named Quetta - Nature's Orchard, received Baluchistan province tail design at time when PIA aircraft were getting Pakistan province tail designs, spotted here during take-off roll and rotation out of Karachi's Jinnah International Airport KHI/OPKC runway 25L during my flight deviated to Karachi dated 30th June 2011.

An unplanned diversion

Back then on the day when I was flying to Lahore LHE/OPLA from Kuwait KWI/OKBK on board Pakistan International Airlines - PIA's Airbus A310-308 AP-BEB as Pakistan 206 in command of Captain Tariq, diverted to Karachi KHI/OPKC. During the descent of flight, I noticed that engines are getting power and the aircraft started to ascend and banking right which made me thought of some thing not going to be good. Very next to this, Capt. Tariq announced with regret that we tried our level best to land at Lahore but unfortunately, there is high downfall and surface winds due to which we cannot continue our approach to Lahore and are being diverted to Karachi. So here is the post landing picture of my flight taken from the transit terminal.

Lebanese Cherry

 

Cherry, one of the loveliest fruit, sweet and sour, varying in red color; Kuwait being desert cannot cultivate fruits hence imports almost all fruits from countries across globe, Cherry I have ever tasted were from Lebanon!

Wataniya Airways - Operations Ceased

 

Post landing at Kuwait International Airport KWI/OKBK, while taxing to Terminal, Wataniya Airways A320s were seen parked at ramp, Wataniya Airways was private premium airline of Kuwait, which ceased its operations in March 2011, resumed in July 2017 and got suspended again in September 2018 by Kuwaiti authorities https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wataniya_Airways
